This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.
Data Collection
The app does NOT collect, store, or sell your personal data on any server we operate. When you enter a reference number and select a company, that reference number is sent directly to the official electricity distribution company's server (via bill.pitc.com.pk or the relevant DISCO's own site) to retrieve your bill — exactly as if you had typed it into that company's website yourself. We do not intercept, log, or store this reference number, and no bill data passes through or is retained on any server we control.
Permissions
The app requests the following permissions, and no others:
- Internet access — required to load the electricity company's official bill page inside the app, and to display advertisements
- Network state — used only to check connectivity before loading a page
The app does not access your contacts, call log, location, camera, microphone, SMS, or files.
Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob — shown after every third bill lookup to keep the app free. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID) to serve and measure ads, in line with Google's Privacy Policy.
- Official DISCO / PITC bill portals — the reference number you enter is submitted directly to these official government-affiliated servers to retrieve your bill. We do not control or store what these servers do with that request.
The app does not use Facebook SDKs, and does not run its own analytics or crash-reporting servers beyond what AdMob itself requires to function.
Children's Privacy
The app is intended for general consumer use and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not request age information.
Data Security
We do not operate a backend server, so there is no centralized database of user data for us to secure or that could be breached. Any bill information you view is displayed directly from the official company's own server inside the in-app browser and is not saved by the app after you close it.
Data Deletion
Because no personal data is stored by the app itself, there is nothing on our end to delete. To clear any local app data (such as cached logos or ad settings) from your device, simply:
- Open Android Settings → Apps → Bijli Bill Checker → Storage → Clear Data, or
- Uninstall the app

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
